Posted by Nik in : Events , 2commentsOur in-house master of games and quizzes, Nik Gerber, will turn the club into a gambling joint. From 20:00 until 22:30 there will be a pool/trick shot contest and a dart contest. Every winning team will get a nice prize. We will place some team rosters in the bar beginning of October. After the contest is finished, people can still play and Nik will make one poker round where people can learn poker if they would like to.
(Disclaimer: there will be no gambling for money involved, prizes are non-monetary and participation is free of charge).

Posted by Nik in : English Club, Events , add a commentPlease note, that the next Singlish – sing together with Stefan Bogdanov will take place on THURSDAY, 25th October. From November, Singlish will always be on the last Friday of the month.
20.10.2007 – Movie Club October 17, 2007
Posted by Nik in : English Club, Events , add a commentWe proudly present a new club-within-the club. The first meeting and evening is Saturday 20 October. We propose Monty Python films. The first is between 18.00 and 20.00, then we have snacks and fill our glasses again. The second movie is from 21:00. Please register by email to mail(at)englishclub.ch by 18 October. There is a fee, of CHF 10.- (5.- for ESCB members). This covers costs of setting up equipment.
